iSpoof
Again on another stroll along the inter-tubes. With the new episode of South Park tonight, I went searching for any details. I found this. At first I didn't think about blogging it, but it shows every tech spoof that has been done on the show, AND THEY HAVE DONE A LOT!

The iPad
The iPad is so stupid, its just a giant iPod touch. WAKE UP SHEEPLE! But that's besides the point. The iPad came out today, and in honor the "Will It Blend?" guys tried to blend an iPad. This is almost as great as Daniel Tosh hitting one with a hammer, or Stephen Colbert using his to make delicious salsa.

Futurama in our Future
So the hit show Futurama was canceled a few years back (due to Fox's crappy scheduling). Fox then sold the rights to show to Comedy Central, who through reruns has revived its popularity and fan base. This led to a 4 straight to DVD Futurama movie deal. These were very popular and now Comedy Central is bringing new episodes starting in fall of 2010.

Tron: Legacy
Tron: Legacy was rumored last year, and teased at last years Comic-Con. Finally some substantial media has been release. Here is the new (and awesome) trailer. Here are some hi res photos. It looks likes a geek's (that's me) wet dream. Also I am going to Comic-Con this year, so maybe they will show us more then just the 10 seconds they showed last year?

Red Letter Media
Red Letter Media is a recent internet phenomenon. They are big amongst geek culture with their prized character/movie reviewer Plinkett. He reviews Star Wars/Trek movies pointing out EVERYTHING wrong with them. So be warned, he WILL ruin your favorite movie that begins with Star (or Avatar).

On Avatar and the Oscars
So as you probably know Avatar won the Golden Globe(s) for both Best Directing and Best Drama. This is ridiculous on so many levels. First off its an ANIMATED movie, not a movie with special effects; if a movie is more than 50% special effects its animated, ok? Second it was in no way the best directed film of the year, it shouldn't even have been nominated. It has an obvious and unimaginative story, with no dynamic shots or anything else that would signal good directing. It's strengths lie in its acting and special effects, this definitely earns it best produced movie of the year. As far as Best Drama lemme tell you something, the Golden Globes is supposed to be the international perspective on the movie industry. James Cameron said so himself. Avatar tells a very American story, with very American values/characters. Lets take Inglorious Basterds, it is an amazing movie and a great example of international story telling. It tells a very European love story (via the Nazi, Theater owner, Black guy love triangle) and provides a very exciting and fun American war story (that at the same time satires the genre, and how America thinks of itself in WW2). Also District 9 was essentially an immigration story, that was awesome. District 9 also did special effects better... just saying.
ANYWAY, you might be asking yourself "why is he saying all this?" The answer, The Oscars. The Oscars are coming up and either Avatar or Hurt Locker are going to win best film, and neither deserve it. I can't argue against them winning, since its really all opinion, but I CAN argue over the Golden Globes. So I have run out of stuff to say, so bon nuit, bon nuit to you all.

Star-Wars Now
So I was browsing the series of tubes that is The Internet and found this. It is a gallery of Star Wars inhabitants/vehicles put into the world we live in today. It is odd how desolate and alien our own world looks like.

D&D Surface Fun
D&D has come a long way over the years. With new technological advancements making the game easier to and more fun to enjoy, this one is the biggest one yet. A group of college students have made a D&D app for the Microsoft Surface, a giant touch sensitive screen. The app creates a map for the players, and stores all the character data and does all the rolls and math for the players and DM's.

Live Action Stars Are Gunna Be In Wars
So the title might be misleading but what I meant was that George Lucas's live action Star Wars T.V. Series has been confirmed, and details have been leaked. Information like books being canceled because of canon clash, its setting in the SW time line, etc.
PS. It is supposed to be gritty and dark, and supposedly going to be on HBO

eBay Cube sells itself
So there is this black cube right, and it sells it's self on eBay. Like that's all it does. It's art, because it sells itself.... That's about it. People have to agree to sell it, it's part of the contract that comes with it, and they are allowed to change the price to however much they want. It's currently going for around 2,500 dollars. That's right not euros, not pesos, not pounds, but yes, the cracked line currency everyone loves, good ol' George himself, dollars.

We got another situation on our hands
So AMC also has a zombie show in the works based off of the hit comic The Walking Dead. It will be directed bye Frank Darabont most famous for Shawshank Redemption. It follows the story of a man named Rick Grimes trying to lead his family through the zombie infested apocalypse. I have a feeling it will be better than MTV's zombie show.

Oh we got a situation.... and this time it's not a set of abs
MTV has decided to make a T.V. show based off of George Romero's (and later re-made by Zach Snyder) Dawn of the Dead. I know right? MTV so crazy. They ruined music. They ruined New Jersey. Now they will ruin zombies. I wonder if they will have Zookie (get it zombie Snookie) and The Zituation (zombie situation... shut up I'm tired)

Asylum Productions is a production company that makes nothing but blatant rip offs of other movies. Their movies include things such as Snakes on a Train, Paranormal Entity, and, Transmorphers 1 and 2. I wonder how they don't get sued.....
